There’s nothing better then a beach day with my family. The smiles, the giggles, the sand, the tanning sessions and even small and crazy swimming lessons. It’s all worth it. I love going to the beach with my family and I’m sure everyone else can relate. I mean it is the beach. Who doesn’t like the beach? A beach day with those you love the most. How much better can it get?
This past weekend we decided to go to the Ko’Olina Lagoons, or as my daughter Bella calls it, the Disney beach. As I mentioned HERE this beach is by far one of the best beaches on Oahu to take your kids to. The water is always calm and it’s a very relaxing environment. Well besides getting rained on we had a great time. Bella loved swimming with her dad, Rob, and Isa just had a blast floating around in her floaties. It was just a day filled with smiles and laughter.
I mean look at those smiles! How can you not enjoy a beach day with your kids? Beach days for us are days to bond with each other, go paddle boarding, tan together, and bury each other in the sand with mermaid tails. This last Monday we decided to teach our little ones how to swim… at least we tried. My oldest one, Bella,(4 years old) is scared of going under water. We keep telling her that if she wants to swim with the dolphins and mermaids she has to know how to swim. My youngest one, Isa, (1 year old) is no where close to being scared of the water. She doesn’t even care if water gets on her face. She loves it. She will splash around and even try to float and kick to move around. She’s determined to be a mermaid just like mommy.
While Isa was learning how to swim, Bella just wanted to chill in Isa’s car floaty (click here to get your own floaty) and be safe from the water. She’s so silly. The most Bella does is splash around like a little mermaid model and pose for the camera. I swear, she’s such a little diva.
I guess what I’m trying to say is that I feel blessed to have my family. For my husband, my two little girls, my 2 pups, my sugar glider, and my birds. This is what my crazy little family is and without each other we wouldn’t be who we are today. Nature, animal, beach loving family. May you always cherish every moment with your family whether that means your kids, your husband, your pets, your parents, whoever is part of your family, make every minute count and treasure every memory you can with them.
