Each season is so beautiful in it’s own unique way. Fall and Winter are two of my favorite, mainly for the holidays. Fall however really puts on a show for us. 1. THE CHANGE OF FALL COLORS IN NATURE

One of the top reasons why I love the fall season is because I love seeing nature change around me. Just seeing the leaves changing colors to vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds makes our magical world absolutely stunning. Don’t you agree?

2. FALL HOLIDAYS – BEING THANKFUL ON THANKSGIVING

I mean, who doesn’t love Thanksgiving! It is the only day (besides Christmas Eve) that you can pig out and not feel bad about it. A day to spend with your family and friends and talk, laugh, cry, and have a good time. A day to celebrate and remember everything that we have been blessed with. The roof over our heads, the food on our plate, the clothes on our skin, the shoes on our feet. It is truly a day to to celebrate and give thanks with those that matter most.

3. ALL OF THE PUMPKINS AND PUMPKIN PATCHES

A fun one for kids, or those that are a kid at heart like me. I love to go pick out a pumpkin. Not to fond of the whole pumpkin carving though. We did it for the first time last year and I swear it was more work than anything. Emptying the pumpkin, carving the pumpkin, fighting with the pumpkin, dropping the pumpkin, cleaning up the pumpkin mess. Yeah! Next time I’ll cut out black eyes and a mouth from felt and glue it on instead. But I still love to go out and pick out pumpkins and use them to decorate my home with. You can paint them, carve them, decorate them, you name it.

4. FALL HOME DECORATING

I love decorating especially for Fall and Christmas. It just gives off such a great seasonal vibe around the entire home. I’m not a huge Halloween decorator but give me pumpkins, sticks, flowers, seeds, acorns and I will have a blast decorating a room. I like to do a lot of DIY projects so I am always doing crafty things with my kids as well to create new home decor.

5. FALL ARTS AND CRAFTS WITH THE KIDS

Talking about crafty things, I also love to do crafts with my kids. This year we created bats out of toilet paper rolls, Popsicle stick faces of pumpkins and Frankenstein, we also created a new flower arrangement to decorate our home with. We are always on the search on Pinterest for some fun arts and crafts for the kiddos.

6. FALL SHOPPING

For some reason, I love shopping in the fall. Overloading on flannels and cute leggings, scarves, and shoes makes the fall and winter seasons more exciting.

7. PHOTOGRAPHY IN THE FALL

During the fall you can take some of the most gorgeously stunning photos. It is like the entire world around you is just showing off for the camera. No matter what you are shooting, portraits, landscape, wildlife, it all comes out stunning.

8. COOKING AND BAKING IN THE FALL

This is the time of year when you can cook all the apple pie and pumpkin pie that your heart desires. Yes! There is nothing more delicous than baking delicious treats such as pies and cobblers or even cooking a delicious holiday meal. I love cooking and baking so the holidays are always a time of year that I go all out.

9. TAKING IN ALL OF THE FALL VIBES

Fall is the season when you can sit outside on your deck or porch with a hot cup of coffee or hot cocoa and just take it all in. The environment, the cooler weather, the birds singing, the trees swaying. It is like if nature is all in harmony.

10. BEING OUTDOORS IN THE FALL

Like I said before, nature is changing into a vibrant array of colors. This is the best time of the year to go camping or even on a hiking trip. The weather is cool and perfect and the nature is putting on a show for you. It is good to disconnect from our busy lives and reconnect with the nature and wildlife around us. Get lost in nature and enjoy it.

11. FALL EVENTS LIKE HALLOWEEN

There are so many fun events going on during the fall season. One of the fun ones is Halloween when you get to dress up as anything that you want. Another few fun events are zombie runs, corn mazes, haunted houses, ghost tours, and so many other fun things to do. We currently live in Clarksville, Tennessee and they have a huge Halloween event downtown every year the weekend before Halloween. The entire community gathers together to collect candy from local businesses and they have a costume contest. Don’t forget to check your local events to see what fun things are in store for the fall season.

12. BIRD WATCHING IN THE FALL

I love bird watching all the time but fall season is the time of year when the baby birds are losing their feathers and growing into mature adults. The transition is beautiful to watch. I have been watching a family of cardinals this year and seeing them all cute with patchy red feathers is even cuter. This is also the time of year when the Blue Jays start to come around my area. They are gorgeous birds with all of their cute feathers. I also spotted a woodpecker on my tree pecking away yesterday morning while I was drinking some coffee on my deck. With a little research, a camera with a good zoom lens, and bird watching book for your state, you can have a fun filled day. My daughters and I will sit by the back door watching the birds taking pictures and looking through Google trying to name the species of birds in our area.

13. WATCHING FALL MOVIES

Another reason why I love fall is the movies. We usually take each weekend to watch 1-3 different Halloween movies. Some of our favorites are the old Addams Family movies, Hocus Pocus, Halloween Town and so many more. What are your favorite Halloween movies? Let me know in the comments below. 😉

14. HOMESCHOOLING IN THE FALL

We absolutely love homeschooling during the fall season. This is a perfect time to add some fun activities like arts and crafts, create your own costumes, learn and read new poems, read tons of fall books. We even take this season to learn about being thankful and taking care of what we have been blessed with. Another thing we do is that we take a day to decorate our classroom area with tons of fun fall decorations. I even let them create their own little things or buy a few things so they can decorate their desk area.

CONCLUSION
