I absolutely love flannels. They are perfect for layering with a t-shirt or a tank top during your adventures. I absolutely love the brand Merrell for hiking shoes. These comfortable and lightweight boots make a perfect gift.

Keen is another one of my favorite brands for hiking shoes. I absolutely love how reliable and comfortable their boots are.

These waterproof boots are perfect for hikers and backpackers providing good ankle support, providing comfort, and easy to put on with their bungee cord feature for laces.

Blundstone Classic 550 Chelsea Boots:

These boots are easy to wear and style while also providing shock protection to protect your knees, ankles, and vertebrae. They come in several colors for you to choose from.

Teva ReEmber Slip-Ons:

These slip on slippers are perfect for lounging around the campground in the mornings or right before bed. They have a good sole for the outdoor terrain while also providing slipper like comfort inside. The colors available are super cute too.

The North Face ThermoBall Traction Mules V:

These are another set of comfortable slippers for lounging around the campfire. The only color available is the blue but they’re definitely a great gift regardless of color. I’m all for a pair of comfy shoes to wear around camp.

Hiking Gear Gift Ideas for Outdoorsy Moms and Women

I think hiking gear is one of my favorite things to receive as a gift as a mom. I love hiking with my little ones since that is what we do most. Having the right baby carrier, hiking pack, and other essentials is very important for me to have when hiking with my children. This will make life easier for me as a mom and help me be more prepared for future hikes. I listed a few options below but some other things you can add to your list are: a compass, knife, multi-tool, a good lighter, etc. I also mention in another section of this guide some good devices that are perfect for moms too.

Baby Carriers

A perfect mom gift would be a new baby carrier. I highly recommend the brand Ergobaby since it is the one I use and really love. It has lasted me for years. However, every mom is different and goes on different outdoor adventures so a bigger one, like the child carriers, may be a better option.

This hip seat baby carrier is perfect for kids up to 4 years of age. It provides easy ups and downs with your child while also providing comfort and ease of walking and hiking. Comes in multiple color options.

It also has compartments like a hiking backpack to store things in. A good way to put it is a baby carrier and a hiking day pack all in one.

Hiking Backpacks

Getting them a hiking backpack can be life changing for any mom. As a mom I am always looking for a good bag with lots of pockets, storage, and easy to keep organized. When you have kids you want to be able to get to your snacks, water, and other essentials easily so having a good hiking pack is important. Here are a few good options.

One of the biggest things I look for when choosing a daypack is that I can carry a hydration bladder in it. If I don’t have to carry a water bottle and can carry a hydration bladder instead then its a win in my books. This hydration pack is perfect for day hikes.

I own a previous version of the Gregory Hydration Pack and absolutely love it. I use it for our beach trips, camping trips, hiking trips, and even short weekend getaways. Also, I love the hydration pouch too as I use it for my laptop or tablet when I don’t need to use the hydration bladder.

This pack is a perfect in-between size for a daypack and one of the top rated daypacks from REI. It is perfect for any mom to fit all of her child’s items and her own.

I currently use a 32oz pink Hydroflask that I love to have with me. It keep my water nice and cold for many hours. It also serves as a weapon since it is heavy and metal.
