The Best Games For Kids – Chuckle and Roar

There is a new toy aisle at Target and I am head over heels for it… and so are my kiddos. It features some of our new family favorite games from Chuckle & Roar. Games for kids such as charades, matching, puzzles, and so much more. But wait! Before you go and buy them all (like I almost did), let me tell you what our favorite games are.

10 Life Lessons Your Child Can Learn Outdoors

Motherhood is filled with so many challenges. We feel like we need to teach them everything we can before our children reach adulthood. It can be frustrating at times and rewarding at others. Sometimes we will feel like what we are doing is not enough. At other times we may feel like we may be doing it all wrong. What if I told you that instead of teaching them life lessons we need to let them have experiences that will teach them these life lessons?

Yes! I said it! We need

TIPS TO ENTERTAIN YOUR KIDS DURING CAMPING

Camping can be fun. No. Actually, camping is fun! But, do your kids share the same notion? Would they rather remain at home and stick to their phones and online games? What if they could have more than they ever thought they could? What if you could show

Baby Hiking Essentials: Everything You Need

It’s such a different world of hiking when you are a mom, especially hiking with babies. My first hike with my baby was in Hawaii and it was definitely a learning hike. After a hike up to Manoa Falls with my friends and all of our little ones, I quickly learned that I wasn’t prepared at all for this hike. The baby carrier I had was causing me unbarable back pain, we ran out of water, and potty breaks with my toddler and a baby on my back was interesting

Homeschooling Outdoors With Education.com – Free Printables!

Many of you know that this year I decided to do homeschool with both of my girls. Though it’s been a trying and learning experience I have learned to find different sources online to make this journey possible. One company however has really made my homeschooling experience much easier. Education.com has supplied me with many activities, workbooks, and various learning sources to complete my homeschooling curriculum.

How To Plan Your Next Kids Hiking Trip

Hiking can be so fun especially when you are with those you love most. However, there can be many things that can turn a fun hike into frustration when hiking with kids. You might have picked a hike that you thought your family may be able to do but quickly had to cut it short. Maybe the trail was to difficult for your little ones, there were dangerous areas not suitable for children, or just to strenuous. I have been there before and sometimes even pushed our limits some. Let

Best Outdoor Books For Children

Time in nature with your little ones can be beautiful but why not make it even more fun with some books. I have been using several outdoor books with my little ones that we absolutely love. We don’t go on any camping trip without them (or even some trails). The beauty of these outdoor books are that not only do they have activities but they are also engaging and educational. My girls have learned about various leaves, feathers, trees, and just about every creepy crawling bug we find. We also

Best Road Trip Boredom Busters For Kids

Road trips can be loads of fun. I remember growing up, my mom and dad would buy us tons of snacks and used to put a small old box tv in the middle of our minivan. We used to watch all sorts of movies, ate tons of snacks, and always fought for the back seat. You know! More leg room and a you can actually lay out on it! We used to also play card games, listen to music, you name it. Now a days it’s a tad bit different.
