10 Life Lessons Your Child Can Learn Outdoors

Motherhood is filled with so many challenges. We feel like we need to teach them everything we can before our children reach adulthood. It can be frustrating at times and rewarding at others. Sometimes we will feel like what we are doing is not enough. At other times we may feel like we may be doing it all wrong. What if I told you that instead of teaching them life lessons we need to let them have experiences that will teach them these life lessons?

Yes! I said it! We need

Homeschooling Outdoors With Education.com – Free Printables!

Many of you know that this year I decided to do homeschool with both of my girls. Though it’s been a trying and learning experience I have learned to find different sources online to make this journey possible. One company however has really made my homeschooling experience much easier. Education.com has supplied me with many activities, workbooks, and various learning sources to complete my homeschooling curriculum.

Ultimate Guide To Eco-Friendly Female Hygiene Outdoors

When I first started hiking I was only a little girl. I usually went hiking or camping with my dad so hygiene was very minimum. Just the main essentials at the most. Over the years new products have emerged, more awareness, and better guidance. In this post I will be going over the essentials for female hygiene that you will need for any type of outdoor trip along with tips and some words of wisdom from two experienced hiking friends.

WHAT IS HYGIENE?

I first want to start off with discussing the

Best Outdoor Books For Children

Time in nature with your little ones can be beautiful but why not make it even more fun with some books. I have been using several outdoor books with my little ones that we absolutely love. We don’t go on any camping trip without them (or even some trails). The beauty of these outdoor books are that not only do they have activities but they are also engaging and educational. My girls have learned about various leaves, feathers, trees, and just about every creepy crawling bug we find. We also

Leave No Trace – The Seven Principles

We love to be out in nature camping, hiking, or just enjoying everything it has to offer. It is a place that many of us go to get away from what most call “life.” Sadly others not so much. Others go to vandalize, trash, and even worse, disturb our ecosystems and those who live amongst it. I want to go over Leave No Trace’s Seven Principles for these various reasons. I feel that by raising awareness on the issue and spreading light on these principles we can have a positive
