A Weekend In Clarksville, Tennessee

This last weekend was loads of fun. I had an amazing opportunity with the tourism company of Clarksville, Tennessee, Visit Clarksville, TN. I was an Insta-Guest for their Instagram account and was able to do some internal tourism in the city I am currently living in. For those of you that follow me on Instagram probably saw all of my exciting posts throughout the weekend on both @thewalkingmermaidblog and @visitclarksvilletn.

About two months ago Michelle over at Visit Clarksville had reached out to me inviting me to be an Insta-Guest and

Billy Dunlop Park, Clarksville, TN

It was a beautiful Saturday morning when my husband and I decided to join our friends Corey and Casey to the park. It had been rainy and gloomy for a few days so we figured like it was a sunny day, why not? We ended up going to a nearby park called Billy Dunlop Park (more information to come) located in Clarksville, Tennessee. It was a little muddy but beautiful.

When we arrived we let the girls play at the playground. Shortly after we decided to hit the trail. It’s a

Dunbar Cave State Park, TN

Dunbar Cave State Park is a small park located in Clarksville, Tennessee approximately 1 hour northwest of Nashville. This small park is historical landmark of Clarksville and holds one of the most beautiful caves in this area. It’s a must see when visiting this small town. You can find anything from deers, fawns, squirrels, to even the rushing water going through the cave and out below.

Our Visit To Dunbar Cave State Park

I’ve been to Dunbar Cave several times to walk their trails but I will tell you about our last

Rotary Park – Clarksville, Tennessee

Rotary Park is a cute little park in Clarksville, Tennessee that is filled with hiking trails alongside a beautiful creek. I love to come visit here as it is filled with gorgeous scenery, flowing water, and several trails to explore. It’s not a very big park but it is perfect to get out and enjoy some time outdoors in this small little city.

STORY

The first time I ever went to Rotary Park was a Sunday afternoon. Shortly after we moved back, my best friend Christina came over for the weekend to

Camping At Piney Campground – Land Between The Lakes

I was turning 28 and one thing I really wanted to do was have a birthday camping trip. I went ahead and started searching for nearby campgrounds that my family and I would enjoy. Piney Campground at Land Between The Lakes is where my heart drifted too. After viewing photos and learning more about it I just had to book the trip. Off we went to camp by the lake and enjoy this gorgeous campground by the Kentucky and Tennessee border.

Camping At Tim’s Ford State Park, Winchester, Tennessee

My little brother is getting ready to go off to college and we wanted to plan a special family getaway with him before classes started. My dad and I planned a 3 day camping trip to Tim’s Ford State Park in Winchester, Tennessee by Tim’s Ford Lake. It was a sunny, humid, and very hot Friday morning when my brothers picked me and my daughter’s up for this fun filled weekend. We loaded up in the car and jammed to some good spanish music as we headed off to the state

Our Father’s Day Adventure Hike To Cummins Falls

Father’s Day weekend. The weekend that everyone wants to go out with their families and have a good time. This is the weekend that my husband and I decided to go to Cummin’s Falls and hike the beautiful trail. The falls were breathtaking but there’s so much more to it. This hike was absolutely perfect.

Saturday morning my family got up, slightly a little later than planned but still excited about the “surprise” hike my daughter Bella wanted to do for her daddy. After
