Tennessee is filled with beauty all around. You can find some pretty amazing waterfalls, caves, and even lakes. In the heart of Tennessee in Nashville you can find one of these beautiful lakes, Radnor Lake State Park. My family and I had the opportunity to go explore Radnor Lake State Park several times.

My daughters and I decided to go to Huntsville, Alabama to visit my parents for a few days. I wanted to take advantage of this time to seek out some of my childhood trails. We decided to visit Green Mountain located in southeast Huntsville overlooking the city. This was always one of my favorites growing up. It has some beautiful historical landmarks including a beautiful chapel and a little cabin. The trail runs around the beautiful lake that is filled with ducks, geese, dragonflies, and turtles.

We love to be out in nature camping, hiking, or just enjoying everything it has to offer. It is a place that many of us go to get away from what most call “life.” Sadly others not so much. Others go to vandalize, trash, and even worse, disturb our ecosystems and those who live amongst it. I want to go over Leave No Trace’s Seven Principles for these various reasons. I feel that by raising awareness on the issue and spreading light on these principles we can have a positive
After having lived in Huntsville for almost 10 years, I never knew of any flowing waterfalls. Monte Sano had one small one that looked alright after heavy rain but nothing free flowing all year round. I made it a mission this summer to seek out a waterfall. I just knew that with all of the mountains, rivers, creeks, and streams, there had to be something, even if it was a small waterfall. Off I went with my family to Alum Hollow Trail to seek out what I found to be
Road trips can be loads of fun. I remember growing up, my mom and dad would buy us tons of snacks and used to put a small old box tv in the middle of our minivan. We used to watch all sorts of movies, ate tons of snacks, and always fought for the back seat. You know! More leg room and a you can actually lay out on it! We used to also play card games, listen to music, you name it. Now a days it’s a tad bit different.
During our family camping trip at Vogel State Park we decided to take a day to go to Helen, Georgia. Before even going I had seen pictures of Anna Ruby Falls. I wanted to visit so badly but with everything that we had going on, I wasn’t sure if it wasn’t even going to be possible.
We headed to Helen, Georgia to play tourist. We visited shops, ate delicious fudge, and took about a million photos of the beautiful Bavarian town. The architecture is beautiful here. After our fun-filled day at
After a long day of walking around the beautiful German like town of Helen, Georgia my husband and I decided to head out to the mountains. Before our family vacation I had made a list of several places I would like to visit including Anna Ruby Falls. The scattered thunderstorms put a hold on many of our plans but I made sure to not put a hold on seeing this magical place.
As we drove out of Helen to head back to camp I immidiately saw the sign for Unicoi State
Wow! It has been a while since I have written one of these posts. I have been so wrapped up with… LIFE … that it just slipped its way out of my calendar somehow. I have gone through a few months of posts today to gather together the top pictures for April and May.
During The Month Of April
April was the month of my husband’s and I marriage anniversary. We decided to head on a weekend trip to Blairsville, Georgia for a camping trip. We decided to camp at Vogel State
WordPress is a whole new world. Compared to my previous platform, Weebly, WordPress was a huge learning experience but over the months I have come to learn the ins and outs and all the must haves of working with WordPress. The transition from Weebly to WordPress has been long. I was able to transfer my blog over but did loose all of the photos in my posts in the process along with my website’s theme. It was a good switch though and wish I had done it sooner. To be
