You know that moment when you lay on the sand and close your eyes. Just go into this deep meditation phase where all you hear is the ocean waves and the wind as everyone’s voice starts fading away into a whisper. You take a moment and you let go of all of the worries of the day or even of your week. Ain’t that moment amazing? That’s exactly how it feels when you give all of your worries and problems to God. He takes your burden just so you can feel free without asking for anything in return besides your love.
One small example could be finals in school. It’s May so finals are here so life can be stressful but trust me when I say that when you pray and give all your worries and burdens, you will feel more at ease. A few years ago in my freshmen year of college I was going through finals and I felt like I was drowning in exams and homework. I decided to just take a few hours to go to the beach for a run and at my turn around point I sat on a ledge and prayed to God that He will help me through that week of finals. I then ran back and studied. I felt so relieved and so confident that He will help me remember everything I studied those next few days for the exams and that He will help me make good grades for all the classes. I passed that semester with A’s and B’s in all of my classes and had the relief and patience I needed to finish all of my homework on time.
For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.
– Hebrew 8:12
When you trust in Him, He will return the favor and answer your prayers. He will give you the patience, love, kindness, or whatever it is that you may need to get through your situation. Not just that, He will also bless you with accomplishments and even surprise you. In all honesty I thought I was going to go blank once I got to my exams. I sometimes get so nervous that I forget everything but as I read through each question I felt like God was hinting me the answers or helping me remember things here and there. You have to let your burdens go. Let it all GO! Give it all to Him. He will help you out.
